DENTAL X-RAYS

What are Dental X-Rays

X-rays are an important tool dentists use to diagnose conditions of each tooth. An x-ray allows areas of the tooth to be seen that cannot be seen with the naked eye. Without x-rays, we are unable to evaluate important areas of the patients oral cavity.

Since we use the latest in digital technology, we are able to obtain these x-rays while exposing our patients to the least amount of radiation possible.

X‑Ray facts

  • Dental x‑rays are taken by using small doses of radiation that go through the teeth and show an image collected by a dental x‑ray sensor
  • With the improvement of dental technologies, radiation from dental x‑rays are very minimal and are not harmful (although we always want radiation exposure to be as low as possible)
