DENTAL CLEANINGS

What is a Dental Cleaning?

Regular dental cleanings are an important part of maintaining your oral health.  Even if you are brushing and flossing regularly, there are places a toothbrush cannot reach. For this reason, professional cleanings are advised to remove hardened plaque and tarter.

Keep in mind that there are different types of cleanings, and re-care schedules (3 months, 6 months, etc...).  Your dentist will determine what is best for you.

How could you benefit from a professional cleaning?

  • Reduce discoloring of teeth (if discoloring is superficial)
  • Removal of plaque and calculus
  • Strengthening gums by removing irritants
