What Are Dental X-Rays?
X-rays are an important tool dentists use to diagnose conditions of each tooth. An x-ray allows areas of the tooth to be seen that cannot be seen with the naked eye. Without x-rays, we are unable to evaluate important areas of the patient's oral cavity.
Since we use the latest in digital technology, we are able to obtain these x-rays while exposing our patients to the least amount of radiation possible.
X-Ray Facts
Dental x‑rays are taken by using small doses of radiation that go through the teeth and show an image collected by a dental x‑ray sensor
With the improvement of dental technologies, radiation from dental x‑rays are very minimal and are not harmful (although we always want radiation exposure to be as low as possible)
