Dr. Kris Volcheck

Dr. Kris Volcheck is the visionary behind Brighter Way Institute, the nonprofit organization that powers The Bob & Renee Parsons Center for Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics. A passionate advocate for oral health equity, Dr. Volcheck launched his first dental clinic in 2001 to serve individuals experiencing homelessness in Maricopa County. His mission quickly expanded to meet the growing need for affordable, comprehensive dental care for underserved populations—including children, veterans, and low-income families.

After earning his dental degree from Emory University in 1985, Dr. Volcheck began his career in Globe, Arizona, where he also completed a Master’s in Business Administration. His experience volunteering with Central Arizona Shelter Services (CASS) deeply influenced his commitment to creating accessible oral health solutions for the uninsured and underinsured.

Under Dr. Volcheck’s leadership, Brighter Way Institute has grown into one of the nation’s most robust nonprofit dental programs, with a focus on compassionate, high-quality care. At the Parsons Center, his vision continues to guide the delivery of pediatric and orthodontic services that prioritize every child—regardless of their background or insurance status.
